Kami Rita Sherpa has broken his own world record for climbing Mt Everest.

Sherpa set a new world record by climbing Mt Everest for the 27th time on Wednesday at 8:30 am. Solukhumbu's Sherpa set a world record by climbing the mountain for the 26th time last year.

Born in 1970, Sherpa is the senior guide of the Seven Summits Treks Pvt. Ltd. He joined the Everest climb in 1992 as an assistant. He has also climbed Mt. Ketu, Choyu, Lhotse and Manaslu.
