Govt decides to convert Tilganga Institute to university

The government has decided to upgrade Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology to a university.

A cabinet meeting held on Tuesday took a decision to this effect.

Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma, who is also the government spokesperson, said that a cabinet meeting decided to convert Tilganga Eye Hospital to a university based on the proposal of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
