The police have arrested suspended secretary of Nepal Communist Party (UML) Top Bahadur Rayamajhi. Rayamajhi was arrested from Budhanilkantha in Kathmandu.
A warrant for his arrest had been issued by the Kathmandu District Court. Rayamajhi was attending a function at Mahendra Vidya Ashram Secondary School in Arghakhanchi when the warrant was issued. He had been on the run since then.
Previously, an official from the Kathmandu Police Office had identified Rayamajhi from a red corner notice. The notice had accused him of using a fake identity to send Nepalis to America. Rayamajhi, a former minister, had been living in Bhairahawa for some time before coming to Kathmandu.
