Ateam of the Department of Revenue Investigation (DRI) has seized 66 cartons of brake shoes from a house based at Sohrakhutte in Kathmandu.

Acting on a tip-off, a joint team comprising officials from the DRI, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police raided a house and confiscated 66 cartons of brake shoes this afternoon.

Earlier in the day, the DRI team had raided a house of stock businessman Rakesh Kumar Adukia at Kamalpokhari.

It is yet to be ascertained whether these brake shoes are gold or not, police said. The DRI has taken these brake shoes. It is yet to be revealed who these brake shoes belong to.
