The Mohan Baidhya-led CPN Revolutionary Maoist and the Dharmendra Bastola-led CPN Bahumat Party have merged to form a new party called the Revolutionary Communist Party of Nepal.
The unity convention selected a 15-member central office, an 87-member secretariat, and a 267-member National Convention organizing committee. Mohan Vaidya 'Kiran', C.P. Gajurel 'Gaurav', Rajvir, Pratik, Pritam, Vasanta, and S.T. are among the members selected from the former Communist Party of Nepal ( Revolutionary Maoist) to the new central office.
Meanwhile, Dharmendra Bastola 'Kanchan', Sudarshan, Dipak Chalaune, Praveer, Gambhir, Ajaad, Nirmal, and Baburam have been selected from the former CPN Bahumat of the central office.
A final decision had been made regarding the unity between them, Baidya as the chairperson of the new party and Bastola as a spokesperson.
