CPN (UML) Secretary Gokarna Bista has demanded that the government investigate the assets of those in high positions since 2046 BS. 

Deliberating on the policies and programs presented by the government for the next fiscal year in the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday, Member of Parliament (MP) Bista also urged the government to investigate the assets of high-ranking people so that the assets of undisclosed sources or unpaid taxes would be confiscated.

Secretary Bista also pointed out the need for the state to confiscate the undisclosed assets of those in high positions to curb corruption. 

Given the critical present-day situation of the country, the policies and programs need to be revised in a new way, said Bista.

Secretary Bista also claimed that the policies and programs brought by the government cannot address the current needs of the country.
