Adelegation led by Deputy Vice-President for Europe, Asia, Pacific and Latin America (EAPLA) program of Millennium Challenge Corporation, Jonathan Brooks, held a meeting with Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat Monday.

During the meeting, discussion was held on overall status of implementation of the projects being implemented under Millennium Challenge Account Nepal Development Committee by Millennium Challenge Corporation, according to the Finance Minister Mahat's Secretariat. 

On the occasion, Deputy Vice-President Brooks expressed satisfaction over the achieved progress—land acquisition, land purchasing for the project. The two sides held extensive discussion on the remaining works to be carried out before implementing the project. 

Expressing belief that this project could be an example in project management of Nepal after being completed within the deadline, Finance Minister Mahat expressed committed to complete the project as soon as possible by concluding the important matters in the project cycle by fulfilling due legal procedures as soon as possible.

The Finance Minister expressed gratitude towards the MCC officials for visiting Nepal and holding discussion. Earlier, in a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Deputy Vice-President Brooks urged DPM Shrestha to facilitate in land gaining process.
